It's easy to socialize here, and the hostel is quiet at night. I had a nice private room at a reasonable price, and there was always someone at the front desk. The owner organized grilled food one evening and also offers tango lessons. It's a lovely place to spend time, and the new owner has plenty of upgrade plans, so it should keep improving. The location is great for walking to the center.

Privacy and security weren't respected here. Staff entered my room without warning or consent, even bringing in a repair team while my belongings were inside. They also said a room wasn't available and then offered it to other guests. The overall attitude made it seem like I should feel “grateful” instead of receiving a service I'd paid for. I wouldn't recommend it for a long stay or if you have valuable items.

My worst hostel stay in all of Argentina. I wish I could give it zero. The bathrooms smelled awful, and the showers had no hot water or pressure. The bunk ladder was broken, with one hinge snapped, so it swung out as I climbed down at night and I nearly hit my face on the metal frame. The staff were rude and unhelpful, seemed not to care about service, and wouldn't answer on WhatsApp or booking.com. The hostel felt unsafe and run-down, and I paid far too much for it. The worst part was my expensive microfiber backpacking towel disappearing. I left on the morning of February 14th and noticed a few hours after checking into my new hostel that I'd left it behind. They replied that they had found it, but it had been mixed up with laundry and wouldn't be back for several days. They said they'd hold it for me until I could collect it. Why put a dry towel in the laundry instead of lost and found? After several unanswered messages on WhatsApp and booking, I went there that night, but they couldn't find it and told me to text in the morning when the cleaning crew arrived. I texted, got no reply, then returned while the crew was there. They said they didn't have it, despite the earlier message confirming they had it and would hold it. My property vanished after they said they'd keep it for me, and they basically told me too bad. Absolutely horrible. I'll tell everyone I know who travels to avoid this place.

On the second day, I came back in the late afternoon and found someone lying in my bed. At reception, they coldly and arrogantly told me I had to move rooms because there was “a problem with the reservation.” I said Rocío had already fixed it, but the new receptionist and a man named Christhian said I had to switch rooms or leave. They spoke to me in a humiliating way, as though letting me stay were a favor. I had booked four days, but the check-in email listed only two. When I arrived, Rocío suggested I stay two days in one room and then move to another. I thought that was absurd and asked her to correct it. A few minutes later, she assured me it was fixed and I'd be in the same room for the whole stay. With no real alternative or respect, I gave in. When I returned to get my things, the new occupants were hostile and said I had no right to be there. I tried to explain, but they ignored me. The hostel had moved me without telling me, asking me, or waiting until I was there. The most outrageous part is that they'd put an extra bed on the floor for the group taking over my space, so they could easily have let me stay in the original room. Instead, they handled everything in the most chaotic and disrespectful way. The whole experience was disastrous, disorganized, neglectful, and showed total disrespect for guests.

The bathroom hygiene was disgusting. There was diarrhea splashed on one toilet and beard hair in the sink. One shower was broken and filled with muddy water, and all three floors were soaking wet.
