I would never stay here again. All night there was a horrible engine noise from my room, sounding like a car horn, and it repeated every 10 minutes. The church next door opens at 7 am to feed homeless people, and the talking and shouting carries on until 11 am. Front desk staff are extremely rude and don't care. If you want to sleep, don't stay here!

My split-level room was huge, and the location is excellent. I paid about $35 a night and I'm not too fussy, so I can see it suiting someone on a budget who'll spend most of the day outside. Otherwise, I'd look elsewhere. The building is dated and clunky throughout, from the lifts to the bathroom fixtures, and needs serious care. Staff were helpful when asked, but service was poor. During my week there, housekeeping never came once, and I had to follow up three times to get fresh towels. My room was beside the lift shaft, and the insulation didn't block the lift noise at any hour.

The staff were nice and the location was good, but the rooms were old and moldy, and the air conditioning equipment was old too. Wi-Fi only worked in the lobby. It feels like it might have been a 5-star hotel 30 years ago. Stuck in time.

The building is a bit old, but it feels right for the price. Service is great, and the people are kind and ready to help.
