The rooms are basic, but I found the stay very comfortable, and the rates were affordable when so many places in El Calafate were costly. Everything was clean, the shower had strong pressure and plenty of hot water, and the free wifi worked in the room. Danny and his wife were welcoming and helpful. The place is a block from the central street, with a big market around the block. I stayed two nights while on my way to El Chalten and would definitely stay again.

I got great value for money during my three nights here while visiting Perito Moreno, and would recommend it to backpackers. On checkout day I accidentally left a souvenir for my partner behind, and the staff kindly brought it out to the bus terminal for me. That was a huge help. Muchas gracias!

Everyone was friendly and helpful, and they were accommodating too. The room was clean, the service superb, and the location very good. They also have a transfer service. We'd definitely stay here again next time we're back in Calafate.

Everyone was gentle and kind with the guests. It's a cozy, quiet place, with comfortable beds, clean rooms, a good bathroom, and breakfast included. There was enough for my stay. A great place in El Calafate.

Danny was quick to answer my WhatsApp before we arrived in Calafate and helped set up our airport transfer and trip to Puerto Moreno. He was genuinely helpful and reassuring, and all the arrangements worked out perfecto! We had an amazing time at the Moreno Glacier and National Park with our driver, Merliena. She was simply wonderful. Danny and his family are friendly, the rooms are clean, and breakfast was sufficient. A cozy hotel in town. I'd highly recommend staying at Hostel Danny and having Merliena as your driver if you're visiting El Calafate.
