South B&B El Calafate

The room was surprisingly clean and spacious for the price, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation is basic, with nothing fancy, but the panoramic views of El Calafate from the hill were incredible. We only spent a quick night here, and waking up to that view made the climb worthwhile. It’s a great option if you want to save money or enjoy the town’s views. We left with some amazing photos and memories.

We had wine outside by the gardens, and the dining area was a lovely place to read or plan our trip, with a great view. South B&B was our most scenic stay so far. It was quiet, cozy, and well placed for walking into town. The staff helped us book day trips, including our visit to Perito Moreno Galcier, and gave us recommendations. Dinner at Mi Rancho was amazing! We shared a room with two twin beds for $90/night total, which made for a lovely stay at a great price.

The view was lovely and the location was good, but the service left a lot to be desired.

We could walk everywhere we wanted to go in town, and the place was very clean. Breakfast even came with eggs. The building sits just above the city, so our private room and the dining room both looked out over the town, a mountain, and a lake. The concierge, who may also have been the owner, was incredibly helpful with directions around town and arranging our airport transport.
