Most of the guests are professional climbers, since mountain climbing is the hostel’s main focus, so it doesn’t feel like an ordinary hostel. That explains a lot about the place. There’s a relaxed, trusting, bohemian feel, and the other travellers we met were just as laid-back. It’s oddly adorable. The owner and staff are really cool and easygoing, and happy to chat if you feel like it. It’s not beautiful or especially clean, though they do wash everything.

We stayed at the hostel in early 2020, just as the COVID pandemic hit, and wound up staying with Hugo and Raul for more than three months. It was a stressful time, but they were so kind and generous, and made us feel welcome and safe. They’re some of the loveliest people we’ve ever met. This review is very late, but I’d been meaning to write it for a while. We’ll definitely come back someday. Thank you again, Hugo and Raul. Luke and Hayley from the UK.

It’s a simple, very local hostel with a great atmosphere among the travellers. We stayed in the dorms rather than the cabanas. They’re a bit small, but good value. It doesn’t seem aimed at the masses.
