Hosteria El Alamo

Sounds travel easily here. Doors closing and people in the hall can seem like they're in your room. Apart from that, it was a great place, with very good service, plenty of breakfast, and two useful public areas, especially upstairs. There was lots of hot water, the beds were decent, and everything was very clean. The location was good, with an ice cream shop right next door. Our room had enough space to spread out while repacking, and luggage storage was a plus. We stayed here before and after our trek, which worked really well.

The place is very clean, and the location is excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is basic, and, like many hotels in the region, the rooms could use a bit more soundproofing.

Staff were welcoming and gave us good advice on food and hikes. The rooms were large and clean, and breakfast was great. There's a loud bar across the road, but closing the window takes care of it. A great stay, especially for the price.

When it's windy, you can hear the wind in the roof if your room is upstairs. Otherwise, it's a decent hostel for El Chalten. The rooms aren't huge but are fairly comfortable, the bathrooms are decent, and the included breakfast was nice. They also let us store our luggage for free overnight while we camped at the Fitz Roy.
