Marriott Hotel Buenos Aires Ezeiza Airport

The location is amazing for a long layover or for switching between EZE and AEP. The rooms were very nice, except for long hairs in the bathroom that weren’t mine, and the front desk staff were wonderful during my one-night stay. The bar and restaurants should be avoided like the plague. They were completely inept, god awful, and the staff seemed to have no place in the hospitality industry. Getting a drink with a food order took asking 3 people at the bar, all standing behind it. The two restaurants kept sending me to each other as though the other one were their out-of-office contact. I asked five people for a food menu and got 3 different ones, then was told only one menu was available that night. When I asked for something from that menu, salmon, they said it wasn’t available. Mind blowing to show menus and then say you can’t order from any of them. I took the airport shuttle to get takeaway instead of beating my head into the wall with the bar staff. The restaurant and bar service was an absolutely embarrassing performance.

The pool area is small, but very clean and inviting. The front desk team were extremely willing to help with check-in and checkout timing, luggage, and restaurant questions. The hotel is 10 min from the airport and has a free shuttle, so it’s a great option if you need to be nearby. It seems new to Marriott and still in the process of upgrading rooms, but the place was extremely clean and well maintained. The lobby is open, welcoming, and pretty, and the surrounding neighborhoods are growing and very pretty. Eduardo and Clara (bar personnel) were friendly and chatty when we arrived around 9PM, and we had a great time learning about beautiful Argentina. The next afternoon we had lunch at the bar, and the food was absolutely exceptional, with large portions. The staff were super friendly again, and before we left, Clara and Camilla gave us a happy hour cheese plate as a going-away gift and said to come back.

We only stayed overnight, and the hotel is under 10 km from Ezeiza airport. The Italian restaurant has elegant decor, attentive service, and fabulous food. Breakfast in the lobby bar was fabulous too. Thanks to Maria Laura and the three other young women working breakfast on Feb 21 for being so kind and helping us celebrate our travel companion’s birthday.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, and our room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was included and good, though the fruit could have been fresher. I was glad to have access to the gym, even if it was small, cluttered, and had some dated equipment. It could use a renovation.
