Route 40 is beautiful if you have the right wheels, and the Hacienda was a highlight along the way. It’s got a colonial look and feel, and the staff are friendly, just what you want on a road trip. We stayed only 01 night, but had a tasty lunch, enjoyed the pool and garden, and liked our room. Dinner was a very nice menu served out in the yard. The location is great, but you have to get there!

We called a few hours ahead to say we’d arrive right as they were closing, and they waited for us. We only stopped to eat, and the empanada was great.

The hotel is welcoming and the people are lovely, even if there isn’t much excitement in the city itself. The menu is a bit pricey, but the food is good. There are beautiful mountains around town, and we climbed the one across the river for a lovely sunset view. Would recommend 10/10.

It’s a bit of a challenge to get there, but well worth it. Staying here feels like stepping back into colonial luxury. The food was fabulous, and the manager was very helpful. There’s a church, a park, and great hiking nearby.

The central courtyard is beautiful, and the rooms are charming, clean, and full of local character. The bed was wonderful, with premium sheets and pillows, and the restaurant served delicious food. Wifi was quite weak and sometimes didn’t reach our room. Otherwise, it was an excellent stay.
