Chawasi Departamentos

The location was very good, but apartment #1 was a disaster. The damp smell was unbearable, the sheets felt damp, and the parking lot was seven blocks away. What we got wasn't like the website showed. We rented at one address, then the owner sent us to another, where an old building was being renovated. We had to get in through scaffolding. The bedroom window hit the scaffolding and couldn't open, while the small kitchen window was closed off. Street noise was really bothersome, and an annoying alarm kept going off, once for over 20 minutes. We had to leave at midnight. Not recommended at all.

The apartment was a few blocks from the cable car, and it's easy to walk there. I was very happy with the clean, well-kept two-room apartment. The beds were comfortable and the decor worked well. There was a kitchen with a refrigerator and microwave, plus an electric kettle and supplies for tea and mate, coffee bags, powdered milk, sweetener, and sugar. Food wasn't included. A card listed phone numbers for nearby delivery services, though the choices were limited. The main problems were the shared water heater and the Wi-Fi. After my shower, my parents had to wait about an hour for the heater to refill because the other apartments used it too and their hot water had run out. The Wi-Fi didn't work properly from arrival to departure, even after they restarted it. Luckily, being right in the city center meant I had a perfect 4G signal.

The owner was attentive, 10 points, and we were very satisfied. The location was excellent and everything was clean, though there was a slight musty smell.

Why are there Chikawa apartments, and why are they so expensive, including a Chikawa?
