Hotel de la Linda

We stayed one night at Hotel La Linda in March, mostly for its excellent spot near the center of Salta and plenty of restaurants. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was the highlight: a buffet plus kitchen service for hot dishes, which were delicious. The room was basic, with just two beds, a cupboard, and a TV, no table or chairs. It seemed recently renovated, but still smelled of paint, had missing covers for the electrical connections, and no towel hooks in the bathroom. First we were shown a room with a window onto the hallway; the next one looked into a tiny backyard. The hallway light shone through a gap in the door straight onto my face, and sounds from the hallway came through too. The room itself had a decent smell otherwise.

We stayed twice in November and could sit in the dining room with reasonably priced beer and coffee while using the WiFi. The people were lovely and very helpful, and the reception and breakfast service were great. It's right in the town center and fairly priced for a budget hotel. THANKS

The ground-floor rooms are huge, face away from the street, and stay quiet and dark. Ours had a large bathroom and good air conditioning. Breakfast was delicious, with eggs cooked how you like them, lots of drinks, and plenty of sweet bakery items. The free drinking water fountain was a nice bonus, and there are plenty of asado restaurants close by. The hotel sits right in the middle of Salta, two blocks from the main plaza 9th July. I'd recommend staying here.

We spent three days here recently and were very happy with it. The bedsheets were nice, the bedside reading lamps worked well, and everything was really clean. Add a great location, good service, and a really good breakfast, and it's easy to recommend.
