Hotel Correa Playa

The breakfast was a bright spot: the tea, coffee, and croissants were very good. The hotel is near the shopping center, which is also a plus, but the rooms need maintenance and the water is awful. Cold water comes out brown with rust, while the clear hot water has a strong smell. None of it is close to drinkable. The toilet leaks underneath, so the bathroom is only good for looking in the mirror, and the faucet is unusable because of the smell and rust. The shower only gives you lukewarm water. I’d rate the place a 2 overall. They need to improve both room maintenance and water treatment.

The reception staff and breakfast server were really attentive, the one positive part of the stay. Breakfast was fine: tea, two croissants, and two pieces of toast. The entrance to the hotel looks nice, but the rooms fall short. I know it’s a budget hotel, but a decent mattress is a basic expectation, and this one was so thin we woke up aching. The hot shower water smelled rotten, so I had to finish with cold water to avoid smelling bad. There’s no heating, and for the heat they only provide a feeble fan. I wouldn’t return. Rest matters, and I couldn’t sleep properly the first night because of the discomfort.

Hotel Correa is a good deal, with very good service and a delicious breakfast. It’s two and a half blocks from both the beach and the town center, and has parking, Wi-Fi in the rooms, and smart TVs for apps like YouTube and Netflix. The mattresses could be better, and air conditioning in the rooms might be a worthwhile addition. 😊🫶

For the price, it was pretty good, and the service and breakfast were decent, even if the butter wasn’t very tasty. The room itself was quite nice, but our bathroom door wouldn’t close, and the fan barely moved any air. We arrived on December 28, 2025, when it was quite hot. They really need air conditioning, and the bathroom’s outdated layout made showering uncomfortable. It needs renovating. Still, you can’t expect a lot more at that price.
