Hotel Minerva

I had a great stay and would happily come back. The rooms were comfortable, the hotel was quiet, and everything was clean, tidy, and well cared for. The food was tasty and there was plenty of it. It's also in a great spot, half a block from the pedestrian area and one block from the beach. The photos match what you find there, if anything the place looks even better in person. I really don't understand the negative reviews, and I'd tell people not to judge it just by those comments.

The kitchen staff were super friendly, and breakfast was good, with a nice choice of food and drinks. The room cleaning was excellent, too. The afternoon and evening receptionists gave great service, but the morning staff were extremely loud, agitated, and bossy. On the last day of our package trip, nobody had told us we needed to leave the room at 7:00 AM. That's an insane checkout time. They woke us by slamming the door, yelling, and banging on it so hard that my sleeping 12-year-old thought someone was robbing us. It really upset him, and it wasn't a pleasant way to wake up. The bathrooms are too small, the doors are damp, and some rooms don't even have a fan or air conditioning.

A simple, cozy place with an excellent location. The room and bathroom are small but practical, with both a fan and air conditioning. It's not modern or luxurious, but it suited us well for a relaxed, unpretentious stay. The reception and kitchen staff were very friendly.

The location is the one good thing, just a block and a half from the beach. Otherwise, the place feels stuck in time: no Smart TV, terrible Wi-Fi, and no hot water at the bathroom sink. Breakfast was basic and not very tasty, and the dinner included in my rate was bland. I wouldn't go back for any reason. They call it a two-star hotel, but it fits one star better.
