The manager was helpful.

Rolando, the manager, was very friendly. He wasn’t there to hand over the key when I left, but that was easily sorted by leaving it somewhere else. The cabins are near both the town center and the river, and it’s a peaceful place to unwind. I stayed in cabin 1, where the kitchen and dining area share space with the double bed. Two single beds are upstairs, reached by a charming rustic staircase made from old quebracho railroad sleepers. There are some awkward details in cabin 1. The sink and faucet make it hard to wash your face without getting water on yourself and all over the floor. The mirror is off to the side, so shaving without it is a real ordeal. The double bed sits under the open staircase, meaning dirt from shoes drops onto it. The kitchen has a stovetop and electric kettle, but using the air conditioning and stovetop at the same time cuts the power.

It’s a very quiet area, and the location is excellent. The cabins are comfortable and equipped with everything you need for a nice stay. We’ll definitely come back.

The hosts gave excellent service, and we had a lovely time at the cabin. It’s brand new, spotless, and fully equipped. We also enjoyed a delicious barbecue using the grills on site. Getting there is easy, just a few blocks from the main square. It’s far enough away to enjoy the quiet and peace of Tilcara. We’ll definitely return!
