The owner wouldn’t honor the price we booked, even when we contacted her to confirm check-in details. She also wouldn’t say whether they accepted cards or required cash. Then she called us nasty names and blocked us on WhatsApp. We showed the exchange to our hotel owner in Buenos Aires to check that we hadn’t misunderstood, and she was just as shocked by the reply. This was the day before check-in. Book at your own risk.

Despite all the five-star reviews, our stay wasn’t good. The owner was extremely rude and unhelpful, and the price listed with the booking wasn’t honored. They’ll give you a different price when you arrive. I absolutely don’t recommend staying here. Choose somewhere else.

It’s very peaceful, and the tap water tastes better than the bottled kind. The owner is lovely and tries hard to understand my terrible Spanish. I slept well in a decent bed, and you can ask to use a second bathroom. There’s no sign on the property, though the number is visible, and arriving feels like going into someone’s home, which it is. Security isn’t great: I couldn’t get in at 10 pm in the rain, but most of the time the front door is wide open, and there are no locks on the rooms or shared bathroom.

The bed in room 3 was comfortable, and the hot water was good. The owner is friendly and can help with laundry. A decent place to rest for a night or two, and the price is about right for Usuhaia. 👍

This was a complete nightmare for our family. We came from Chaco to Ushuaia, paid a month’s rent for a room for my daughter and her partner, and now they’re afraid to return with 10 days still left on their stay. The owner, Eliana, went to Chile and left her son in charge. He was under the influence of alcohol, attacked my daughter, and caused a scene by kicking the door and furniture. They had to leave at 4:00 AM with their belongings and file a police report for assault. The owner hasn’t replied to their WhatsApp messages asking for a refund.
