Hotel Ambar

It’s a simple place, but very clean and tidy, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The location is ideal: there are several shops on a nearby avenue, and the center is just a short walk away. The one thing I’d improve is the Wi-Fi.

Everything felt mediocre, though it did have the feel of your grandma’s house or the cheap motel in town. The TV was tiny and perched awkwardly on top of the wardrobe, so you had to get out of bed to switch it on. The remote didn’t work, and you had to press the buttons on the TV itself. The bathroom button had the same problem. They advertise parking, but it’s really just a hallway where you leave the car and can’t take it out without inconveniencing guests who need to move theirs. If money’s tight, I can see why you’d stay here, but it could easily be a cheap motel instead of a “one-star” hotel. Cheers.

The staff were always ready to help, and the owner was around too. It’s an affordable hotel with good food if you choose half-board, and the pool is another plus. The location is excellent, and the service was excellent as well.

We needed somewhere to stay unexpectedly after arriving very late, and Monica was incredibly kind and attentive to everything we needed. The rooms were clean, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. Breakfast was more than good, and the room was excellent value. We’re grateful they saved our night and highly recommend the place.
