The meals were mediocre, and after five nights I’d have gladly traded most of them for a couple of hours of sleep. The breaded cutlets were full of gristle, and the pork was paper thin, so a lot of us ended up finding food elsewhere. But the bigger problem was room 22. It sits beside the elevator shaft, right by the ground floor public bathrooms, with a cleaning supply room against the other wall. We could hear the elevator machinery and its “ground floor” announcement every few minutes, plus voices from the lobby and dining room. Staff passed through the service hallway to the laundry room, talking, laughing, singing, whistling, and shouting. The cleaning cart rattled down the hall and the storage door kept slamming. This went on around 2 PM, during the hotel’s stated quiet hours of 1 to 4 PM. We told reception through the company coordinator about the noise, but nothing improved. It even seemed like people got louder near the room. The door had a gap at the bottom, so the hallway’s automatic light shone in whenever someone walked by; we had to block it with towels. The ground floor window wouldn’t lock, and the area outside it looked unsanitary. The room also hadn’t been cleaned properly: there was hair on the supposedly fresh sheets before we’d even slept in them, the room hadn’t been swept, and the bathroom floor was dirty. I’ve never seen housekeeping make that kind of noise while cleaning; they’re usually very considerate. Guests paying for a room shouldn’t have to accept this, even if it isn’t a luxury hotel. Putting a room between the elevator machinery and service corridor was a poor design choice. I wouldn’t return if I can avoid it, and room 22 or any ground floor room is one I’d steer clear of. Sleeping there was impossible.

Sabrina, the coordinator, seemed focused only on selling excursions and absent from everything else, and the reception staff were awful. The food was disgraceful, so bring money to eat elsewhere. Rosol trips were the worst, so be careful buying them. The hotel itself is nice, and the waiters gave excellent service, but everything else was a disaster. It’s not two blocks from the Cuckoo Clock, and the steep walk is exhausting, so anyone not in good shape will need taxis. I first visited on May 25th, 2026, and it was definitely my last time.

Most of the waiters were warm and helpful, and the food was good, with a standard menu and plenty to choose from. The restaurant has a small dining room, so it runs two seatings and brings the courses one after another either way. The hotel looks new and is nice, though a few rooms are very small. The location worked fine for me, about three blocks from the old town center and a 15-minute walk from the new one.

The barbecue area was a real highlight for a family outing. We could eat, play ping pong, take a shotgun, and try the fun retro arcade games. Everyone was friendly and kept greeting us, from good morning to hello. It’s a beautiful, family-friendly place, and we had a lovely time.

The included breakfast had lots of variety and was really good, and the bathroom was spotless. Reception was excellent too. The room cost 95,000 a night, about $63 USD, which felt expensive for what it was; Booking.com charged me 60,000. Wi-Fi was pretty weak and one wall had some dampness, so I’m taking off a star for those little issues.
