Hotel Maritimo

The apartment worked well for our trip with my wife and daughters, and the city-center location meant we could walk everywhere. The beach-tent deal at the beach resort was a fantastic bonus and solved our beach problem. I'd also recommend the covered parking. A few things got in the way: the pool is solar-heated, so the water was barely comfortable, and the four-person jacuzzi was small and always occupied. It felt a bit off-putting to get in, so we didn't use it. The breakfast room is cramped, and after 9:00 AM you might wait standing. We repeatedly had to ask for new remote batteries because they never worked. The game room is run-down and the games are very old. The breakfast buffet itself is a must for starting the day right.

Getting a booking was impossible for me. I arrived without a reservation after trying the WhatsApp bot, which I told I needed a place for two. It showed me all the options, from double to quadruple, along with 20 photos. I ended up in a four-person apartment, though there were only two of us. The sofa bed took up kitchen space and made it hard to get around, and the internal patio door couldn't be opened properly. The rest was comfortable, but Wi-Fi reached only one corner of the room, not the apartment. The pool was too cold and unheated for us to use. The four-person jacuzzi was always occupied by families with children. The location is very good, close to everything, and the hotel is clean and well-equipped. The staff weren't friendly and didn't even say good morning, especially housekeeping. Nobody explained the facilities, breakfast hours, or the tent discount I later read about in another review. The cleaning staff do ask whether you want your room cleaned, and leave it if you say no. Breakfast was bad, with only apples for fruit and supermarket packaged puddings. The room is small and crowded, and the plastic chairs are unstable. Parking costs extra, and street parking is difficult among the street vendors. Be careful where you leave the car, as you can get a ticket. The barbecue area is spacious, with a foosball table and hot water dispenser, and has two grills available until a certain time. I liked the place overall, and the price seemed reasonable for what's offered, but some details could change the experience completely.

I'd definitely stay here again. It's close to the beach, and has a pool, barbecue area, and parking. The service and cleanliness were excellent. Breakfast was adequate, though more seasonal fruit would be nice, and the coffee could be better because it wasn't very tasty.

For what we paid, the service wasn't worth it. The quadruple room was tiny, with worn-out furniture, very uncomfortable low-quality pillows, and a TV about the size of a computer monitor. It only had cable, not a smart TV. They never told us about the hotel's services or hours. The breakfast room was so cramped that one day my children had to eat in the back patio, where I brought their food, and nobody offered to help.
