Hotel Das Gastein - including Alpentherme entrance all year and including "Gasteiner Bergbahnen" during summer season

The staff were very friendly, and the hotel is only a short walk from a park. Even from the first floor, the balconies have gorgeous mountain views. Rooms are spacious and clean, though a bit antiquated. That's fine as long as they're functional and clean. A fantastic place to stay in Bad Hofgastein, highly recommended!

The evening buffet was very good, with starters, salad, meat, fish, vegetarian dishes, and dessert. Breakfast was a full continental spread, and the staff were welcoming. The rooms were large and very clean, with timber furniture, balconies, and a parking garage. It's right by the Kur Park and close to the thermal baths. Bath entry is included in the fare, and guest towels and a sauna bag are provided. In summer the mountain cable cars are included as well, and we used them. Good value for the quality.

The restaurant was a bit disappointing. Portions were mostly too small, and we had one or two tasteless dishes, although the food was otherwise fine. The hotel interior has seen better days and looks a little tired. Still, it has the comforts you need and the beds are fine. There's a covered garage and heated ski storage. The location is excellent, with easy access by car or bus. A good value choice if you're not too picky about the food.

We had a huge, clean room and a great view of the mountains. The bar downstairs makes lovely drinks, and breakfast had good options. The hotel is close to Alpentherme, less than a ten-minute walk, and we spent the whole day there. Great deals, lovely staff, and great service. Highly recommend it.
