This is a great place for skiers who don't need a five-star hotel. The rooms are on the small side, but that's part of staying with friends on a ski trip, and the showers are clean and nice. Food is good and affordable, the staff are very nice, and the owner arranges transport to the ski slope by ski bus. They also take you to the village if you're staying over New Year's Eve.

The staff are fantastic, and there's a free bus to get you to the slopes. It's a good spot for skiing, though reaching an Alpine town is less convenient: a taxi from Hinterglemm costs 25 euros. Breakfast is great, and the evening meals are nice too. It's cheap for a ski resort, so expect a younger crowd, often around 20-30 years old, who may drink and make some noise. That can be annoying. If you know what you're getting, this place is great; people wanting a resort hotel might prefer to stay elsewhere. I recommend it.

A typical youth hostel, and it did the job for us. It's a little out of the way, unfortunately.
