Hotel Restaurant Weinhaus Happ

The terrace has a great view, and the staff were friendly and quick. The schnitzel was thick, moist, and nicely made, and the portion was generous. It was also good value at €12,80 when I visited. Tap water costs €1, which felt a bit odd. I left my wallet at the restaurant, but the staff found it and I was able to pick it up the next day. Excellent food and service. I’ll come back.

The restaurant is right in the centre, just seconds from the shops and about a two-minute walk from the river. The meat was cooked well, the salad dressing was tasty, and the service was friendly. We had Schnitzel and Happ Spezial, and both were delicious. Prices are a little high, but the portions are large, so alles gut! The rooms are clean, though small and old.

The rosti hash browns were probably the best thing I’ve ever eaten. The service was outstanding and friendly, and this was easily the best meal we’ve had so far. I can’t imagine being disappointed here.

Good food at a reasonable price. We had onion soup for €5.70, plus chicken noodle soup and ravioli for €12.
