The spa was a real highlight, with a steam room, several hot saunas, a cold plunge shower, and a nice jacuzzi. The room was large and very clean, with a pleasant balcony and a big bathroom. I ski in Europe every year, usually spending 4/5 days each in Switzerland, Austria, and Italy. Hotel Castle is the best hotel I’ve stayed at on those trips. The communication was excellent, and we were greeted warmly with genuine check-ins about how we were doing. Breakfast was spectacular. They asked how I wanted my eggs, and there was fresh, good-quality fruit, including kiwi, plus freshly pressed orange juice. I also had dinner at the restaurant once and thought it was very good. It’s a 10-minute walk to the main gondola. I actually think being a bit away from it is a benefit, since Ischgl’s après parties near the gondola can go until 11 pm or later. The shops and restaurants in the main Ischgl area are about a 15-minute walk away, which I also liked. Spend a day here, check in, and ask a few questions, then you’ll understand what I mean.

The location is a bit farther from the chair lift than some other places, but the walk is a nice warm-up in the morning, and the quiet setting is good for relaxing after skiing. We also had a ski locker by the chair lift. Our room was large and clean, and the hosts were lovely. Room service did a great job cleaning and folding the sheets. Breakfast was delicious, and there’s a tasty Italian restaurant that’s worth trying. The spa was great too, with several kinds of saunas and a jacuzzi.

The breakfast had a delicious range of choices, and the hotel itself was cozy, lovely, and quiet. It’s a four-minute walk from the tunnel to Pardatschgratbahn. Petra is adorable, and I really admire how perfectly she runs the hotel. We’ll definitely be back.

Petra made the service feel effortless and never seemed rushed, while taking care of every little detail. The hotel is run like clockwork. Our room was large, and the boot warmers and spa facilities were great. We’d happily recommend it and return to Ischgl.
