Being able to ski down to the hotel was a plus, and we had a great view of town from our room. Breakfast was okay, though it could use more choices like scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage. The third bed had a tiny, super-hard mattress, and it took me five days to get used to it, especially frustrating after paying £1000 for the week. There were no tea or coffee facilities for the evening, and the shower only works well if you're under 4 ft. The pillows don't work either, haha.

The best part for me was the time-capsule feel: the interior seems to have stayed as it was in the 70s. It was looked after, just never restyled, which amused me as a child of the 70s. The hotel is clean, quiet, tidy, well maintained and well run. Rooms are comfortable, with a sunny balcony, plenty of hot shower water and WiFi that's fast enough. Breakfast is a good continental spread. The woman running reception and breakfast doesn't speak English, but we managed to understand each other. There's no evening meal or bar. The nearest cable car is about a five-minute walk plus a moving walkway; coming back on skis, it's perhaps a minute from taking them off to the hotel door. The town centre and bars are just over five minutes away on foot.

The room was a good size, and I didn't mind the walk since it's a little outside town. You can ski back to the hotel if you're a very good skier, which I'm not. The owner doesn't speak English, so communication was a bit difficult. Breakfast was the usual bread, cheese and so on.

The rooms are a decent size, and at the end of the day it's just a 10 meter walk from the slope to the hotel. Good location.
