The rooms were fine and parking was good, but several other things went wrong for us. We were told the sauna was free, yet that only applied on Tuesdays. On other days it cost extra. Booking.com also claimed there was direct slope access, which wasn't the case. Reaching the slopes in Kappl meant quite a walk, or we could take the bus to Ischgl. The bus stop was a 10-minute walk along a dangerously slippery path behind the hotel. Breakfast pricing was both unclear and shockingly high. The host had a book listing prices for options and activities, but not for sandwiches. We later found out a few croissants had cost us €120. The host said she had assumed we could afford that because expensive cars were parked outside. She also explained that sandwich prices weren't listed because they changed every three months. On top of that, the host's husband called one of our friends an idiot.

The owners were friendly, and we had a comfortable room with excellent service. The village center and ski slopes were easy to reach, and the mountain views were stunning.

We felt right at home in this clean, very nice apartment. The bread delivery worked well, and we had beautiful weather.

The landlady was extremely friendly, and we'd happily return, perhaps for hiking in summer. From the balcony, with its table and chairs, we could enjoy a wonderful view of the valley and opposite mountains. Inside, the studio felt welcoming, with wood paneling, tasteful furnishings, and excellent upkeep. Its kitchen had enough for putting together simple meals quickly. The house itself is exceptionally beautiful. One catch is the sauna charge: it's included once a week with advance notice, but otherwise costs €20 plus €6 per person.

The landlords were very nice, and the holiday apartments were attractive and well equipped. The location was good, too.
