Sporthotel Enzian

Half-board is phenomenal value, with delicious, varied breakfasts and fine-dining dinners. My room was faultless and comfortable, with fine linen, luxury toiletries, and service twice a day. Lots of little touches made this traditional hotel a joy to stay in. The staff were courteous, attentive, well trained, and seemed to enjoy working there, often returning for multiple seasons. I noticed the solid silver cutlery and coffee pots, bespoke dinner crockery, and high-quality glassware. Even the etched logo on the glassware was carefully turned towards you at the table. The ski and boot room was spacious, tidy, and had heated boot racks. It's beautifully run and great value. I felt truly welcome and at home.

The owners and team were very open and friendly. A special mention to Magdalene and Nelson, who served our table. Breakfast was a great buffet, and the dinner menu changed each evening. The location is perfect, with ski-in, ski-out access.

The welcome at Hotel Enzian stayed with us. The Elsensohn family and their staff made us feel at home while still looking after us professionally. Their warmth felt genuine, and it was clear that the family treats both guests and employees with generosity. Around the hotel, staff greeted us warmly and looked us in the eye. Chantal at reception made that hospitality clear from check-in, and Marion, Herr and Frau Elsensohn's daughter, and her husband Denny did everything they could to make guests enjoy their stay. Frau Elsensohn was up each morning helping the team make sure breakfast was ready and nothing was missing. Breakfast had freshly baked bread and rolls, homemade pastries and cakes, fresh fruit, plenty of cheeses, charcuterie, and marmalade. At the table, Frau Elsensohn and her staff asked what we'd like to drink, and we could order eggs, omelettes, or pancakes however we wanted. After skiing, it was lovely to come back to a soft, cozy bathrobe. The spa is small but cozy and has what you need, with a relaxing, harmonious feel. Housekeeping cleaned the rooms with care and came by each evening to prepare the beds and give the room a quick clean. They also left a little chocolate cookie for each person, which we appreciated on the ski slopes the next day. The rooms, restaurant, and service all helped make our time there special. You can choose half-board or eat in the little Austrian a la carte restaurant, which has a traditional feel. The Austrian cooking was excellent, and the traditional Winerschnitzel was especially delicious. The family also puts on wonderful fondue evenings with a lovely traditional Austrian atmosphere. Just before Easter 2023, we had a wonderful stay at Hotel Enzian. We loved our time at the Elsensohn family hotel and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, harmonious winter holiday in Zürs and the Arlberg region. Before heading back to the slopes, I'd usually go for one of the hot soups, and there are several to choose from. But my favorite here is the Enzian Hamburger. It tastes delicious, with a mix of Austrian food, and it's actually big compared with what you normally find around there.
