The schnitzel and gebratene Schweinshaxe were particular favorites, though everything we ordered was delicious. It was the best dinner we had all week, in an authentic traditional Tyrolean restaurant with wonderful service. Book ahead if you want to be sure of getting a table.

We came for dinner on Christmas evening while staying in Mayrhofen over the festive period. The restaurant was busy but very welcoming, and the service was excellent. Lovely traditional food, definitely recommended.

The place is usually packed, so I’d book a table. Service is efficient, and you really should try the ribeye steak.

We were meant to stay at this hotel but, for some reason, had to move to the one next door. It was all handled well and wasn’t a problem. My general impression was good, though the river beside the hotel makes quite a lot of noise, so light sleepers may struggle. The restaurant seems best suited to people who eat meat; vegetarians might want to skip it.

Really disappointing meal. Everything was reheated and dry, and we won’t be coming back. This used to be a good restaurant. Maybe it’s under new management?
