Kassnerhof Pension (Mayrhofen)

Our host was super friendly, and the breakfast was amazing. We loved staying here for our week of snowboarding!

My brother and I stayed for a week of snowboarding, and Susanna was really helpful. My brother is vegan, and she went out of her way to make breakfast work for him. Breakfast was great, with enough to eat as much as you wanted. They clean the rooms daily and do a great job. Downstairs there’s ski and board storage, plus a boot rack with heated rails, so your boots can be dry and maybe even a bit toasty for the slopes. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the center, or the bus stop is roughly a five-minute walk from the hotel. It’s a little out of the way, which means you don’t get drunk revellers, though my brother and I were probably those revellers at least twice. They’re very relaxed here. An absolute pleasure to stay, and hopefully we’ll visit again!

The rooms are simple, but clean and cozy, and the hostess is friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is typically Austrian, with lots of tasty, varied options. For a ski trip in Zillertal, it’s well situated: Penken gondola is 10 minutes away, with a five-minute walk to the bus stop and then a five-minute bus ride. Highly recommended!

I first vacationed at the Kassnerhof with my parents 50 years ago, and I still enjoy coming back. The whole family is always so friendly. The rooms are comfortable, and breakfast is very plentiful and good. I highly recommend it.
