These offers are an absolute rip-off. For the same dates in Mayrhofen, you can get a good four-star hotel with half-board.

The hostess was lovely and gave us plenty of tips about the surrounding area. The apartment itself is beautiful, with a superbly equipped kitchen and a large bathroom. It's easy to walk to the town center and the Ahorn and Penken cable cars.

We chose the smallest of the three vacation apartments at Vroni's Waldhaus, "Studio Ahorn," and were very happy with it. On arrival, the owners greeted us warmly with a schnapps, and there was a bottle of sparkling wine waiting as a welcome gift. The balcony looks toward the neighboring forest and has seating. Inside, the double bed was very comfortable, and the living and sleeping area had a dining space, local information, a flat-screen TV, DVD player, playing cards, and radio. The kitchenette is small but had everything we needed, including a kettle, egg cooker, teapot, coffee maker, espresso machine, cutlery, ladles, pots, and pans. The bathroom is spacious, and bathrobes, slippers, and a vanity set were provided. We could also use the sauna and ski/drying room on site, and bikes are available to rent. Highly recommended, we'd love to return.
