Obertrauner Hof

The location was good, and the hotel was clean. Breakfast was fresh and good too. I enjoyed my stay, though the lack of an elevator could be tricky if you're carrying large, heavy luggage.

Irina made a huge difference to our stay. She was incredibly supportive and welcoming, and her approach to hospitality really raised the bar. The property was modern, clean, and spacious, and it's a very good option for enjoying Hallstat. I wish breakfast had more hot vegetarian choices, like sautéed vegetables or mushrooms. We loved our stay and highly recommend it!

Iryna was so friendly, answered all our many questions, and made sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed our two nights in the recently remodeled hotel, where the rooms, shared areas, reception, and breakfast room all felt cozy. This is a good alternative to staying in Hallstatt, just a five-minute drive away or a boat ride across the lake. Check the boat schedule, though. The boats don't run all the time, and at the end of April they hadn't started for the season yet. Dinner choices were also very limited on Sunday and Monday when we stayed.

Obertraun is peaceful and quiet, a lovely place to get away from the busy world and relax. We stayed three nights and were completely satisfied. The room was beautiful and spotless, breakfast had a wide range of high-quality food, and the staff were extremely kind and friendly. Highly recommended!
