Altstadt Hotel Hofwirt Salzburg

We’ve stayed at the Altstadt Hotel Hofwirt a couple of times and have loved it each time. The lobby is a comfortable place to unwind, and there’s a bar with a nice beer selection. Underground parking was available and very useful on our last visit. The rooms are clean, quiet, and comfortable, with especially comfy beds, and the staff are professional and helpful. The location is right by a pedestrian street that leads toward the river and main town, with easy access to the Christmas Markets. There’s also a lovely little café nearby called Ratio Coffee Rosters, with great coffee and pastries. We’ll be back on our next trip.

The staff were friendly and attentive, and I’d happily stay here again. Breakfast had plenty of choice, and coffee and tea were available around the clock. The room was really clean and comfortable, especially the bed. It took us about 15 minutes to walk from the train station, though we could have caught a bus, and it’s about a 10 minute walk to the old town. There are also lots of shops and restaurants within a few hundred meters.

Breakfast was very good, and my booking also came with a guest ticket for public transport, which was great. The rooms were nice, the location was convenient, and public transportation was easy to reach.

It's very clean and well located, with plenty within walking distance and taxis available outside. There aren't many amenities, but I didn't need them.
