We picked this hotel for a December trip to the Christmas markets because central hotels were so expensive. Its location worked well: Mirabell Palace was a 10-15 minute walk away, then it took another 10-15 minutes at a relaxed pace to reach the old town. The reception staff were friendly and helpful; we dealt with three of them, and the breakfast staff were helpful too. Breakfast was a typical European buffet with cereals, bread, meats, cheese, yogurt, and fruit. The room was fine, warm despite the cold outside, and the bed was comfortable. The shower had great water pressure. Some parts are a little old and worn and could use an update.

Nicolas at the front desk was the highlight of our stay. He was so welcoming and helpful, shared lovely Salzburg hidden gems we’d never have found ourselves, and explained where we could park for free nearby while visiting on the weekend. The location was handy, with a petrol station close by, a supermarket across the road, and Indian restaurants just behind the hotel. Our room was unusually spacious compared with other hotels we’ve stayed in here, and had a beautiful view. Breakfast was good and well organized. One of the best stays we’ve had in Austria, and Dorint felt well worth the money. I’d happily return.

We only stayed one night, and it was a good visit. The service was nice, the room felt spacious and elegant for the price, and breakfast was decent. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk from the central station.

The staff were lovely and the room was great during my three-night stay at the Dorint Hotel this January. It’s a little away from the center, but only a 15-minute walk to somewhere more central. The bus routes from right outside are easy to use too. I’d absolutely stay here again.

The staff were welcoming and patiently helped us figure out parking. The hotel was clean and well kept, and it was convenient to walk to all the main attractions. We had a very pleasant stay.
