Hotel Drei Kreuz

They kept our bags after checkout, which was very helpful. The rooms were spacious, the beds and pillows extremely comfortable, and the whole place was exceptionally clean. This was my first stay at a self check-in hotel, and it went really well. They emailed the instructions the day before, so checking in was easy. Great value for money.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were somewhat clean, but there’s no AC. Breakfast was very expensive for what was offered. Parking cost 12 euro per day, for an unsecured space a few hundred meters away. For only a little more, you could stay at an Airbnb.

The hotel is in a quiet part of Salzburg, and the friendly atmosphere made it even nicer. Communication with the staff was excellent. Our room was neat, clean, and very spacious, with one double bed and three separate beds, enough for five people. There was a nice bathroom with a toilet, central heating at a pleasant temperature, plenty of furniture for sitting and storing clothes and shoes, and a TV with lots of channels. The lobby has a machine for very fine coffee and another for snacks. Breakfast was tasty, with enough food and drinks, and the breakfast area was clean and spacious without a crowd. There’s a tidy, spacious car park for around 40 cars about 400 meters away. Kudos to the host! Recommended.

The hotel has cute design touches, including knight armors and paintings on the elevator doors. We enjoyed the friendly, helpful staff and the nice neighborhood. The city centre is close enough to walk to, so we didn’t use the nearby bus stops. When you leave the hotel, there’s a magnificent view of the hill. Our twin room was small but comfortable for two. The beds were wide enough, the mattresses good, and the bathroom was large and nice. It would be great to have a smart TV, especially for longer stays.
