The rooms are in a separate building from reception, which became a real problem when I got locked out in the middle of the night. I’d left my phone in the room, so I had to wake a neighbor and ask them to call the police to get a key and let me back in. Not a good experience. The hotel was very clean, though, and that matters a lot to me. In summer, the lack of A/C is an issue: they provided a large box fan, but outside was often cooler than the room. For the money, it’s still worth considering, especially on a budget.

We enjoyed the sauna, it was great. Parking in front of the villa is free, and the price is good for what you get. The main historic part of the city is 3 km away. The only awkward bit is that check-in, checkout, and breakfast are about a 200-metre walk away. Thank you 😊

The hostel itself was very clean, and it’s about a 30-minute walk to the city center. Just be aware there’s no staff at the villa. You have to go to another hostel on the same street for check-in and to leave your luggage before check-in. It’s not far, but does take extra time. I had to make that walk three times: to drop my bags, to check in and pick them up, then again at checkout with my luggage.

The free parking right outside Villa Ceconi was a real bonus, and the room was comfortable and clean. It’s close to a bus stop, and walking to the city center is possible if you don’t mind a bit of a walk. Check-in was straightforward, though you first have to go to another nearby building, where there’s parking too. The staff were kind and professional.

The room was lovely, though a bit too hot on the ground floor during our visit. There was a large fan, but we couldn’t open all the windows because of street noise. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and breakfast was really tasty. Thanks!
