Garni Albona

The owner’s kindness and attention showed in the little things, from breakfast to the hotel’s thoughtful design and materials. We slept wonderfully in the quiet, comfortable rooms, with especially nice beds and bedding. The bathrooms seemed newly renovated and were cozy and very clean. After skiing, the spacious, spotless sauna and steam room were a real help for resting and recovering. The boot drying room and ski lockers made mornings easier, too. Hotel Garni Albona is right in central St. Anton, under a five-minute walk from the lifts, and its indoor garage lets you take the elevator straight to reception. We’d gladly return and recommend it to anyone after a comfortable, stylish, well-run stay.

Kristin is so welcoming and lovely, and she had an answer for everything we asked. This was our second stay, and we’re sure it won’t be the last. The hotel is close to the lifts and main street, with private parking, and you can leave ski gear at the depot near Galzig lift. Everything was extremely clean and had what we needed. Breakfast was colorful, the sort you usually get at Tyrol ski resorts. Strongly recommended.

Breakfast was plentiful, tasty, and nutritious, and gave us a good start to active days. We also looked forward to the Hotel’s Wellness Area each afternoon after skiing or sightseeing in Innsbruck, especially the rejuvenating Sauna. Kristin and the staff have thought of what you need for a relaxing trip. Arriving was easy too: we could drop our bags and park in the reserved covered garage just steps from the door. We had a wonderful week at Hotel Albona and highly recommend it.

Kristin was great at communicating, and the breakfast she served each morning was a highlight. Say yes to the soft boiled egg! She also gave us a really useful list of restaurant recommendations around town. Hotel Garni Albona was spotlessly clean, with a comfortable room and a particularly large bathroom that was great for cleaning up after skiing. It’s easy to walk from the train station, though there’s a small hill, and even easier to get down to the Rendel and Galzig gondolas. A perfect base in St. Anton.
