The rooms were comfortable and clean, and there were several seating areas to choose from. Breakfast was amazing, with a broad selection of teas, coffees, juice, and hot and cold continental food. The bar was full, and the pizzeria was fantastic. We watched the talented cook make the pizzas we chose. We booked through booking .com, but the site's pictures don't do this warm, comfortable place justice. The staff were thoughtful, attentive, smart young people, and Michael the manager was friendly and helpful, with a personal touch for individual needs. Our four-day stay was fabulous and well worth the money. Thanks to the whole team, from Karen and colin.

We've been coming to this favorite with our large group for a long time, and the Swedish hotel group has recently taken it over and refreshed it. It's very easy to reach, just steps from the train station and a couple of blocks from the West bus terminal, and a five-minute walk to the lifts. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable, and very functional for skiing and getting some rest, though not luxurious. In past years nights could sometimes be noisy. During our visit, with COVID curfews at midnight and fewer travellers, we had no trouble sleeping. The rates are great, and the staff and owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Almost everyone speaks English. Rooms are serviced daily, which was a very nice surprise given many large US chains have stopped doing that. Dinner and breakfast are included. The dinners were fantastic, with chefs putting their own spin on traditional classics. Wine used to be included with dinner, but the new owners changed that, and I think it worked out better: the budget could go toward better ingredients, and the food's quality and taste were exceptional. Breakfast wasn't bad, just not as good as dinner, mostly because our mostly US-based group didn't agree with the sausage and bacon choices. There's a ski room with boot warmers, shops and restaurants are an easy walk away, and a pharmacy is only a few steps away for medication, toiletries, or a COVID test for travelers heading to the US. Our group had a fantastic time and loved the staff and stay. I'm very happy with the change in ownership and look forward to returning, perhaps even trying the hotel the managers run in summer. I meant the one up in Scandinavia, an area on my list to visit. And my pleasure on writing the review, the rating was well deserved.

It's a good Austrian hotel, now run by a Swedish group. The Swedish and Danish staff were great, and both breakfast selection and evening dinner were good. We'll be back.
