Hotel Pension Siggi

The owners make a point of checking in with guests personally. After dinner, they'll sit down and ask how the day went and whether the snow was any good. The recently renovated sauna area is very nice, and both the varied half-board dinners and breakfast were good. It seems like plenty of guests are regulars who return. This is a lovely hotel-pension, well placed for visiting the Pitztal Valley and skiing at the Pitztal Glacier or Rifflsee.

For hiking, the location works really well, and the glacier is just a five-minute drive away. Pension Siggi is a small family-run guesthouse, and the service and friendliness were fantastic. Our room was spotless, cozy, and spacious enough. The half-board food was superb and delicious, and the sauna is modern and beautiful. If I'm back in the Pitztal Valley, I'd happily stay at Pension Siggi again.

Dinner was a real treat after a day hiking. You get two main-course choices after the salad buffet, then homemade soup, a generous portion cooked fresh by the chef, who is the landlady's brother, and dessert to finish. Once his work was done, he'd come chat or join guests for a game. The dining room has lovely Tyrolean decor. Breakfast was also fantastic, with rolls, different breads including whole-wheat, cold cuts, cheese, cereal, fruit, yogurt, jams, Nutella, and eggs fried, scrambled, or boiled. Special requests were handled quickly. The new sauna is roomy, modern, and cozy, and they heat it when you ask. The bus stop is on the other side of the road, almost right outside, handy if you arrive without a car or don't want to drive to hikes. Rooms are bright, clean, and spacious; towels can be changed daily on request, with sustainability clearly in mind. Wi-Fi is free, and drink prices are reasonable. The Neururer family made our first stay at Pension Siggi feel very comfortable, and our family hiking holiday was a dream again. The value for money is excellent. We can highly recommend it.
