Moxy Vienna Airport

After missing my flight, I was able to get a room here that same evening, which was a real help. The tunnel connection to the airport makes the walk much more comfortable, with no cars to deal with and no cold air. The hotel felt elegant, the room had plenty of amenities, and the food was very good.

The pillows were the one thing I really disliked, they weren't comfortable at all. Otherwise, the room was clean and a good size for an overnight stay, and check-in at reception was quick. The airport is only about a five-minute walk away and easy to reach. I also got a mocktail at the bar, and the bartender said it was a welcome drink, so I didn't have to pay. A good option for one night near Vienna Airport.

The free drink was pretty good, and the bar itself had a cozy, distinctive feel without being too much. The airport is the main reason anyone would choose this hotel, and getting there underground for dinner was easy, around a 10-15 minute walk. Check-in went smoothly, and we got drink vouchers and our room keys without any trouble. Sleep was another story. The room stayed warm even after I tried to turn down the AC. I found out the hotel limits how low you can set the thermostat. I run hot, so I tried the fan and opened the window, but the fan barely moved air and its coils put out heat even on the fan setting. The window faced the runway and aircraft parking area in a U shape that seemed to funnel and amplify the noise. After a miserable night with hardly any sleep, I checked out at 3:30AM. It was 35 degrees outside, so spring or fall might be better, or ask for a southwest-facing room. The elevator was wide enough for two suitcases.

The staff were kind and helpful, and breakfast was simple but good. My room was clean and a decent size, with easy access to the airport. I had trouble cooling it with the AC, so I opened the window before bed, then shut it for the night to keep the noise out. I'd stay again.
