The place is family-friendly, with high chairs and a kids’ menu. We came for dinner and really enjoyed it. I had the zander fillet with parsley potatoes, which was delicious, and everyone else was pleased with their Wiener Schnitzel and Tiroler Rösti. We shared Kaiserschmarrn for dessert, a lovely end to the evening.

The restaurant served traditional food that was delicious, and the staff were friendly and efficient, from reception through breakfast service. My room was clean and comfortable, with a great view of the Wilder Kaiser. The furniture and bathroom are a bit dated, though, and the hotel could use some renovation. I’d certainly recommend staying there.

The central location was convenient, but the place felt quite run down, with green paint chipping off the doors. We stayed with a group from December 20 to 26, 2025, and had requested a twin room. First they showed us room #14, where one person would have had the double bed and the other a camp bed in the entrance corridor just outside the bathroom. When we refused, the proprietor rudely said that was the only option, take it or leave it. After the agent contacted her, she somehow found room #12, which had a proper sofa bed. The room was cleaned every day, but the towels and sheets weren't changed during our stay. The room heating was inadequate, at around 20.5°, though the roomy bathroom was warm enough. Breakfast was indifferent, with no scrambled eggs or bacon, just individual butter and jam packets. The cappuccino was a disaster, but the filter coffee was good enough and came in vintage silverware. The reception also closed for Christmas, so we couldn't get our room key until we happened upon an employee who helped us. If you want to feel respected, choose somewhere else.

This was the best hotel we stayed at all week. The food and service were great, and the staff were friendly.
