Apartment Fischer mit Privatstrand

We enjoyed winding down on the balcony after days spent playing different golf courses around Carinthia. The apartment had plenty of room for two, warm colors, wooden furniture and floors, and a spacious, well-equipped bathroom with towels and toilet paper. Each morning we walked about five minutes to Kaufhaus zur Linde for fresh rolls. Mandy and Andy gave us a very warm welcome, took us to their private lakeside property, and pointed out places to eat and shop in the village. Down by the water there was sports equipment, a fridge and a toilet, and it was a lovely secluded place to relax. My husband tried stand-up paddleboarding for the first time and couldn't stop. We also went hiking right from the apartment, including at Gerlitzen, and took a boat trip on Lake Ossiach. The nearby Slow Trail through Bleistätter Moor starts about 200 meters away and has viewpoints for birdwatching. The SC Steindorf tennis court is right next door, and we used it often; booking online was quick and easy. It was a varied, wonderful holiday in a beautiful area. There's still plenty we haven't seen, so we'll be back.

Steindorf made a great base for mountain hikes and walks in the nature reserve. The lake is close, and having a private beach area was a real bonus. It's very quiet, so relaxing was easy, though you can also take a stand-up paddleboard out on the lake. There are lots of activities nearby, from tennis just a few meters away to water skiing, wakeboarding, cycling, jogging and mini-golf. Steindorf also has several restaurants with a good range of food. The hosts were fantastic and happy to suggest trips, places to eat, pubs and events. We felt right at home. The apartment itself had everything we needed, with brand-new furnishings, a very spacious bathroom and a large kitchen and dining area. The sofa converts to a bed if needed, the kitchen has all the equipment we wanted, and there was plenty of storage in the entry and hallway. A wonderful place to stay and a great holiday spot.
