Gasthof Grebmer

A top guesthouse.

The food is freshly made, authentic, and delicious, especially the schnapps afterwards. We had an ideal stop here on May 1st, arriving by bike on a public holiday when many hotels were closed. The welcome was incredibly warm, and we got a nice room and an excellent dinner. It's a great stop for cyclists, and also for anyone heading to Croatia. A special compliment to the young woman behind the bar. She was alert, hospitable, and attentive to her guests, and I think she'll go far. Pay this Gasthof a visit and help keep Austrian hospitality alive!

The calamari was brought straight from the sea by the boss that morning, and the price for the quality is very good. We had the calamari trilogy, as shown in the photo, which is easily enough for two. The spinach and potatoes on the side were so good they could be a treat on their own ;) It's a charming country inn with genuinely excellent food. The boss is super friendly, and the service was prompt and courteous. Best calamari we've ever had! Thanks Manu and Uli for the great meal. We're already looking forward to the next culinary specialties :)

We were nearby and hungry when we came across this place by chance, and I'm glad we stopped. The service was friendly and attentive, and the schnitzel from the extensive menu was juicy and delicious. I'd happily return just for that excellent beef soup. Highly recommend it.
