The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and the service was really good. I also liked the hotel's design, the room furnishings and the amount of space, plus its nice location. Since it's new, there seem to be a few things to sort out. The room phone wouldn't let us dial out, and housekeeping was inconsistent. Sometimes our robe was hung up, other times it was left on the chair where we'd put it. Hopefully those issues get fixed soon.

The bar staff were the highlight for me, so friendly and helpful that they deserve an award. The manager was lovely too, and wouldn't even let me pay for some damage I caused by accident. There's also a nice garden in the middle where you can get away for a bit. This newly opened hotel is just north of the centre, away from the crowds but an easy walk from major sights and transport. The decor mixes modern and classical styles. Our room was spacious and everything was sparkling clean. Highly recommended for a Vienna visit.

Filip and Theresa (sorry if I've got the names wrong) at reception were wonderful, so warm and calm when we really needed it. My father had to stay in bed, and although room service wasn't running yet, they arranged to have food brought upstairs for him. The bartender downstairs also listened as I talked through my stress at the beautiful bar, and was so kind and calming. My father and I had arrived at EST Hotel Palais Chotek after two stressful days at Vienna General Hospital. My 81-year-young father had fainted and suffered a concussion, and I was running on adrenaline and coffee by check-in. The hotel became a little refuge while we waited for Medical Transport to take us back home to Lithuania. The food was so good that, even in the middle of the shock, I found myself thinking, “Wait, this is amazing.” The rooms are gorgeous and brand new, the beds are a dream, and the bathrooms are pristine and sparkling. I only wish we'd been there in happier circumstances and for much longer. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to the whole Palais Chotek team for wrapping two tired, stressed people in so much kindness.
