Wombat's City Hostel Vienna Naschmarkt

The metro is only about 500 feet away, which made getting here from the train station and heading to Schönbrunn Palace easy. The historic center and its sights are also a short walk away. We loved our two nights here. Our private room was clean, modern, and just like the photos, and the cafe and bar were convenient, great places to have around. We tried the €8.50 breakfast buffet one morning and thought it was good value. There’s a nice balance of social atmosphere if you want it. We’d happily stay again and recommend it.

The rooms were spotless, neatly arranged, and clearly well cared for. Even without a hair dryer, you can borrow one from reception, and there’s a supermarket next door if you need to pick anything up. Staff were kind, helpful, and professional, and everything went smoothly. From arrival, the place felt cozy and welcoming, with a friendly atmosphere that made it easy to settle in. A pleasant, clean, stress-free stay.

The bar was really cozy, and the staff were super friendly and inclusive. Rooms were pretty and well kept, though the bathroom could use better ventilation. The shared areas were clean, and the kitchen had plenty of utensils. A very nice, clean hostel. I’d recommend it.

The location worked really well, with the nearest train station about 300 meters away and plenty of restaurant choices within roughly 200-800 meters. Downstairs there’s a big gathering space where travelers can meet and connect with people from around the world. The atmosphere felt lively and safe. I booked a four-bed female dorm, and it was much more spacious than most hostel rooms, with its own private bathroom, a major plus. The breakfast room was also large and clean. I’d have liked a live omelette counter and perhaps some vegetarian options. I’ll choose this place again on my next visit to Vienna. Thank you!
