The location ended up being a big plus: the bus stops right outside, the main city area is about a 20-minute walk, and there are shops nearby on this side of North Adelaide, around 5-10 minutes away. The beds were professionally made and pressed, which was the main thing I cared about being clean; the rest was reasonably clean too. The cleaning staff were nice, and they made it clear they were only a phone call away. I booked without reading reviews, then saw them before arriving and freaked out. The accommodation is very outdated, as you'd expect in an old building. We had a three-bedroom place with one toilet and a kitchen. There was air conditioning in the lounge and one bedroom. It was okay, even during some days in the high 30s. Street traffic was loud, and sirens often went off, including around midnight, though I didn't mind too much. At this price and location, I'd stay again.

There was burnt toast left in the griller from the previous guests, the bathroom door wouldn't close, and the fridge leaked. Our three-bedroom room had only a two-seater couch. The laundry key was missing, and there wasn't even a plug for the kitchen sink. I won't stay there again.

I'm astounded this place is open. It's filthy, putrid, and dangerous, and it should be condemned. The building didn't match the photos online: things were broken, the place wasn't cleaned, beds were leaned against walls, and windows were ripped off. The doors had only a wooden frame, with no fly screen. After seeing other reviewers describe similar experiences, I think a class action to close it down is needed. I'm taking this further.

The apartment was dated, but the price reflected that, and the location was fantastic. We had tickets for an AFL game and could walk there in five minutes. North Adelaide and town were both easy to reach on foot. The room was spacious and the kitchen was fine. The evening shower was the best, hot and powerful, though the morning one was different, maybe because it used a storage heater. We found the place pleasantly quirky, and the location and price more than outweighed the negatives for us. Just be aware there are more apartments than parking spaces.

The area was lovely for a walk and it was handy to the local shops, cafes, and Oval cricket ground. The place was very clean and tidy, though quite dated. The rooms were dark and could use better lighting, maybe a repaint to brighten them up. I was happy overall, but it could do with some sprucing up.
