Tasha's Apartments on Morphett

A week before we were due to arrive from interstate, they emailed to cancel our booking, apparently because they’d overbooked. We had to scramble to find somewhere else to stay. Not reliable.

The beds were comfy, the apartments were spacious and tidy, and the location was excellent. The cooling worked well too. They really should include room cleaning for stays of one night or more, though.

The building itself feels pretty low quality for something so new. The hallways and car park smelled of rubbish, with no ventilation, and the key fobs were unreliable. Getting between the building and car park was mostly a miss. The car spaces are tiny, and people drive around them without much care for visitors trying to find their spot. My pre-arranged parking space was occupied when I arrived, so I had to make urgent calls to get a temporary one until mine became free. I also booked through Expedia with breakfast and parking included. The host said there was no catering, so no breakfast, and I had to remind them about the parking to get the instructions. Choosing the breakfast option was a waste of money. A couple of smaller things: water pressure was terrible, as it had been at most of the places I stayed in South Australia. And the TV remote batteries were in backwards, which was a fun thing to discover while trying to get the TV working. Some of this may be down to the short-term rental manager rather than the property as a whole.

I didn't stay because they cancelled my parking, so I had to find another hotel that had parking. I also still haven't received my parcel payment back, even though I cancelled before the cutoff date.
