We stayed for two nights and asked for two double beds and three singles. The room instead had two doubles, one single and a double sofa bed. We adjusted things ourselves rather than making a fuss, but were still charged $100 just for moving a bed. For what we paid, I expected more flexibility and better service. The place felt unfriendly and unaccommodating, and I wouldn’t choose it for comfort, value or good hospitality.

Being a guest at Emu Beach Chalets felt calming in itself. The chalets are in a great holiday spot, clean and well equipped, with soothing blue and white decor. They’re dog friendly too, with pet beds and food and water bowls provided. I didn’t see any staff until I left, but got the sense that the owners and staff love what they do. My daughter and I felt the same way when we stayed in June 2020. ❤️🙋🏼♀️ Bluey would love those colours, since dogs see blue best.

We’ve been staying at Emu Beach chalets at least twice a year for 20 years, and we love them. They’re small, quiet and tidy, with everything you need. The beach is beautiful and only a three-minute walk along a bush path, or you can go down the road. The staff are lovely, and it’s super dog friendly. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

I liked the dated look, which has more character than the bland modern style some people prefer. The location’s fantastic, the staff are friendly, and there was nothing for me to complain about. It’s great dog-friendly accommodation, with a big room and all the facilities you could need. They let me park my ute on the grass because it wouldn’t fit in the carport, and open my rooftop tent to dry after a few rainy days camping.

After a long drive from SA, we stumbled across this gorgeous spot and it was well deserved. The stay was amazing, and the food was generous and delicious. I’d recommend it to anyone considering a visit.
