The new management is doing a wonderful job. We’d seen a few negative reviews and were a little unsure at first, but ended up having a very pleasant stay. The after-hours check-in was smooth and hassle-free, and the quaint, comfortable cabin had everything we needed. There were kangaroos around all the time, and the short walk down to the river was lovely. It made for a peaceful, scenic visit. Being just 15 minutes from Albany was another plus, keeping it quiet while making town easy to reach when needed. We’d definitely recommend the place and enjoyed our stay.

The park sits in a lovely spot and is kept in good shape. There’s a large area with useful amenities, and it seems well managed. The attached golf course is really just for practicing your swing. The greens aren’t for putting, so getting within a foot of the hole makes you a champion.

Steve and Christine made this park feel special. Their kindness and care meant a lot, especially since we’re travelling with a double lung transplant recipient. They made sure we were comfortable and supported throughout our stay. We came in as strangers and left feeling like family. It was a wonderful surprise, and Steve and Christine are clearly the heart of Kalgan River Caravan Park.

The camp kitchens worked really well for happy hour and activities with the Avan Club of WA. There were 26 vans and 2 chalets for 40 people, and the staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. It’s right on the Kalgan River. We’ll be back.

There’s a fishing platform and boat ramp right by the river, which is a great setting for a stay in Albany. The chalets look older and plain from outside, but inside ours was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. We’ll definitely return.
