My boyfriend and I spent one night at the Tajil Motor Inn on our trip. We just needed somewhere quiet and comfortable to rest after hours on the road, and it suited us perfectly. The room was spotless and cozy, with a cool old-styled motel interior and extremely comfortable bedding. The location works well for a road trip break, but the atmosphere and surroundings made us want to stay longer. Thanks to the team for the warm welcome and incredible kindness. We recommend it without hesitation and will be back eventually.

It’s an older-style complex, but very clean, tidy, comfortable and quiet despite being close to the road. The staff were super friendly and check-in was seamless. Main Street access is easy, and pubs and eateries in the town centre are an easy walk. I’m staying there again soon.

I came back for a work trip because I remembered it as neat, clean and comfortable. The room was dated, but that’s reflected in the price. For an overnight work stay, it felt safe, was clean, and had great shower pressure. Funny enough, I booked a single room but ended up in the same family room as my last visit. That earlier stay was with my kids a few years ago, and the place made a perfect base for a short summer holiday, especially with the pool.

The shower was a real treat after a day on the road, with excellent pressure and very hot water. Our room had plenty of space, bench area and storage, and the electric blankets made the beds more comfortable in the cold season. The service was excellent too. Tanjil Motor Inn in Bairnsdale, Victoria, is an old-fashioned motel, so don’t expect modern decor, but my husband and I really appreciated what it offered. A little gem and great value for money. We’ll be back.
