Angela at tower 1 reception deserves a special mention. She gave us great advice and next-level service, and even took photos of us before we headed out to a concert, all with a huge smile 😃. Everyone we met was lovely, and we’ll definitely stay again next time. The location is fantastic, close to everything. Our room had some wear and tear, but it was spacious and the views were great. For the price, we also got good use of the amenities, especially the pool.

The sunrise from level 75 is spectacular. If you stay there, it might make you want to extend your visit, so budget accordingly. I got a great room on that level, and it was pristine with all the comforts I’d expect from a 5 star place. The front desk staff even sorted out fresh sheets late one night. I thought they’d just drop them off for me to put on, but when I got back, staff had made the bed. Top notch. They’d helped me book by phone and honoured the best price guarantee. Check-in was ready early, and the staff were super friendly.

My room on level 28 was neat and tidy, with a kitchenette, laundry facilities, a bed, TV, bathroom, and small table or desk. I was in tower 3, around the corner from the main check-in area. It’s not a huge walk, though it could be awkward with big luggage or mobility issues. Check-in took a little while because one customer seemed to have an issue. Southbank is a short walk away, but it was very quiet and few places were open. The shower head and wall fittings looked a bit old, with some rust. The laundry door dragged on the floor, perhaps because it was off its hinges. I didn’t use the laundry, so can’t comment on its condition. It was reasonably quiet and I had no major issues.

The beds were clean and comfortable, and we had a good range of cutlery, plus a clean toaster, fridge, and stove. The rooms were good, though little things put me off, like coffee stains on the walls, couches that weren’t very clean, and dusty carpet. The lobby of tower 2 always has a weird chemical smell. Parking is $25 a night. For a longer stay, nearby street parking might cost less. My room also had free Netflix, though I don’t know if that’s standard.

We had a balcony room with a small but very handy kitchen. It would’ve been great to have a Nespresso machine, since the nearby cafes all close by 3:30pm 😲. There aren’t many places to eat right nearby, though you can find some options around 600 meters or more away. The pool area is lovely, with greenery, a BBQ, tables and chairs, and pool loungers. There are also spa spots overlooking a balcony, a dedicated kids’ play room, and a sauna downstairs by the pool.
