Chermside Court Motel

The manager made sure our son’s booking and arrival at Chermside went smoothly. His room was clean and nice, and the service had that good old-fashioned feel. Thank you, highly recommended.

They put me in a room opposite reception where the noise was excessive, after refusing my request for an upstairs room. They also refused a refund. All the women were downstairs and the men upstairs, even though we prefer men. AGAINST. Y WILL

We were exhausted after getting up at 4am and spending the day at a pre-op appointment, and it turned out we’d gone to the wrong motel. The manager checked the phone number and called to confirm our booking after spotting that something was off. The cabbie couldn’t take us to Chermside Motor Inn because he’d already accepted another fare, so she offered to drive us there herself. She chatted with us along the way and made sure we arrived safely. She’d only been on the job for two weeks, yet she was caring, friendly and went well beyond what she needed to do. FIVE STAR SERVICE WITH A SMILE!

The rooms smelled of mold, and you could see it. With no sound insulation, I heard people in the lobby, doors slamming, laundry noises and outside noise even with the windows and doors shut. Parking is tight, just five spaces, and street parking is limited if you miss out or leave. Reception seemed fake friendly. About 20 minutes after I checked in alone, the male receptionist tried to open my door, saying it was a “mistake.” The whole stay felt uncomfortable and was way overpriced. Honestly, this place needs to close or be renovated immediately.
