We got to our room before 3, and our luggage was brought up for us. The staff were all lovely, and the hotel is quiet, with comfortable beds. The only thing I'd change is the pillows: all four were large, so it'd be good to have a few different sizes. The location is great, with the botanical gardens right beside the hotel and everything else within walking distance. You can walk in the gardens at night for free.

Frank made our last-minute accommodation booking easy. He handled it with a smile and made us all feel welcome, and the other staff we met were just as kind and friendly. The room was clean, and the location was great. Based on that customer service alone, I'd definitely book here again.

The location is great, but the hotel feels more like a backpackers, which fits the price. Bathroom doors, especially, could have been much cleaner. There was construction from 6am, and the air conditioning seemed to be on a master control, despite the room making it look as if you could adjust it yourself. My room was like a sauna. Give it a miss.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, but the valet never brought our car up when we called ahead. Every time, we had to go to the concierge, ask again, and wait. There was also a lot of construction noise, sometimes late into the evening, though that was outside the hotel's control. The location in downtown Brisbane is great, but the rooms are small and ordinary, with sliding bathroom doors rather than proper ones. Breakfast is expensive. For the price, I'm not sure I'd stay again.

There were plenty of local restaurants, bistros, and shops nearby, which made this a solid option. My room was spacious, clean, tidy, and quiet, and I was given one on a high floor. I checked in very late, but the front desk got me through quickly. There was a mysterious door in the room that stayed firmly locked after I tried it several times, though it didn't bother me much.
