The room was fine for sleeping, but the lack of opening windows left it feeling musty. The bathroom had an unpleasant smell like dirty feet, the air conditioning was loud and barely cooled the room, and the fridge was louder still and froze everything inside. At check-in I was told breakfast wasn't included. My workplace confirmed it had been prepaid, but reception still wanted me to pay first and said a refund might follow. I wasn't comfortable risking a double charge when my booking clearly included breakfast, and the reviews suggest this happens to others too. It was an avoidable hassle right at the start. I'd call it a three-star stay. It works if you need somewhere convenient near the airport, but the service information and room upkeep need attention.

The hotel is good value, with comfortable rooms, friendly staff and a restaurant that isn't too expensive. A free bus goes to the Sky Gateway complex, though the hotel is about a 10-minute ride from the domestic terminal. The stop is still around a five-minute walk from the entrance, so getting there may be tricky if you have mobility issues. I'd recommend it.

The room was tidy and clean, and the soft, cosy bed let me get the good sleep I really need. We also appreciated being checked in early. The gentleman at reception was accommodating and arranged for me and my associates to stay on the same level, which made things much easier. Everyone was pleasant. The dining counter staff were helpful and polite, and the kitchen team seemed cheerful and genuinely having fun. That kind of happy atmosphere matters to me. A very positive stay.

The room was decent and had the brightest lighting I've ever seen in a hotel, though it took a lot of switches to manage it. The shower pressure was extremely low. For an international airport hotel, it was surprising that non-Australian plugs weren't catered for, so bring an adapter. Breakfast was okay, nothing special, and reception staff were competent but not especially friendly.

The room was clean and comfortable, with nicely presented towels and a TV home page that greeted us by name. The location worked well too, with a DFO and food court about a five-minute walk away, plus a free airport shuttle that took roughly 15 minutes. Downstairs there's a restaurant for an easy buffet breakfast. The pool is on level five, and the gym has a treadmill, stationary bike, yoga mat and free weights up to about 17kg. Reception handled a small mix-up with real care. Our room hadn't been cleaned when we arrived, so Emily quickly found us another one. About an hour later, Nikki called to apologize and offered drink vouchers. I hadn't made much of the mistake, so the gesture was a lovely surprise. All the reception staff were delighted to see our young children and each tried to give them a drawing book.
